A Short Bio
I was ...I was born in Taranto, south of Italy. In 2000 I got my BA in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. Then, after a year of civil service I started my Ph.D. in Development Economics at University of Florence.
After three years I got my Ph.D, discussing a thesis on “Fear Floating”: three essays on the role of (real) exchange rate in Trade and Financial Crises. During those days, I had other good news: my first job at Unicef - Innocenti Research Centre and, of course the greatest news, Sofia - my first daughter – arrived in our family!
I spent at Unicef just a year, then I came back at the University of Florence for a three year post-doc position in the project: International fragmentation of production of Italian firms: new organizational models and the role of information technologies.
During this period another baby, Alice, arrived in our life… Professionally, I spent some weeks as visiting at Cendef (University of Amsterdam) and in February 2008 I won position with a tenure track at University of Florence as Assistant Professor. Due to budget constraint of the University system in Italy, I had the possibility to start my new position just one in February 2009.
What else? Who knows… |
